I grew up on Salt Spring and I am now in my fourth year of software engineering at UVic in Victoria. Everything I have built is for a business on this coast: a bakery in Campbell River, a health clinic in Fernwood, builders and excavators on Salt Spring, a painter, a cleaning company, a B&B. Same island, same designer, start to finish.
The usual alternative is an agency on the mainland you never actually meet, where your project is handed between people and a small change means a support ticket. Here you deal with the person who wrote the code. I answer the phone, I know the ferries, and I know what it costs a business here to be hard to find online.
Every site is custom-coded rather than assembled from a template, fast and secure by default, and handed over with a dashboard so you update it yourself without waiting on me.
